Food Bank Depot and DUDS @ Dayspring

Dayspring has been a Depot of Edmonton’s Food Bank for over 30 years. We’ve been able to provide volunteers EVERY SINGLE Thursday during that time, except for a couple of months that the Food Bank was shut down in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many Dayspringers have volunteered their time to keep it going through all of these years.

Even though some people feel comfortable about in-person participation in worship services and other activities, Dayspring will continue to livestream our services on ZOOM and make other meetings and activities (e.g. Bible study) available online.

That is, we envision an ongoing “Mixed Presence” community for our worship, faith formation activities, community service, and governance.

DAYSPRING IS A FOOD BANK DEPOT

Thursday Afternoons, 3:30-5:00: Dayspring Volunteers staff this service to the community. The Dayspring congregation makes donations of items on a regular basis to supplement the food boxes provided by Edmonton’s Food Bank. Click here for a list of items regularly needed.

The process has been reorganized so as to observe distancing requirements that assist minimizing risk of transmission of the various viruses that cause suffering, particularly during the Winter months.
